Infertility Journey: Got a diagnosis.
So as I mentioned in my previous post I have been MIA due to a lot going on with trying to conceive. I mentioned last year about the early miscarriage we experienced in November, I shared a ‘month in the life‘ vlog over on my youtube channel and I began to explain that it looks like we are experiencing secondary infertility. Well in March we reached our 1 year trying to conceive anniversary which is the point at which the doctors will begin investigating why you haven’t fallen pregnant yet and those tests came back with some surprising results for me. Despite falling pregnant so easily with Harrison and never really having had any previous issues with my periods it turns I have Polycystic Ovary Syndrome.
This is something I will be talking about a lot over the coming weeks/months (but hopefully not years!) but I say down last week to film a vlog to talk a little more about what is happening with my fertility. Then I will be sitting down again last this week with some more results from the doctors about where we are going next with this.
This has all come as a big shock to me and is has been a really difficult time emotionally and that is why there has been a certain level of silence, I have been researching for hour after hour about how to tackle this and how to complete our family.
If you have polycystic ovaries and have any tales of success or advice for us please leave them down below.
And in the mean time, here is my update on what we know so far:
